Basic Opinion

En mi opinión... (In my opinion...) Creo que... (I think that...) Pienso que... (I think that...) Me parece que... (It seems to me that...) Opino que... (I believe/think that...)

En mi opinión, es una buena idea. (In my opinion, it's a good idea.)

Strong Opinion

Estoy convencido/a de que... (I'm convinced that...) Estoy seguro/a de que... (I'm sure that...) Sin duda... (Without a doubt...) Definitivamente... (Definitely...) Por supuesto... (Of course...)

Estoy convencido de que es verdad. (I'm convinced it's true.)

Weak/Tentative Opinion

Me parece que... (It seems to me that...) Supongo que... (I suppose that...) Imagino que... (I imagine that...) Diría que... (I would say that...) Puede ser que... (It may be that...)

Beliefs

Creo en... (I believe in...) No creo en... (I don't believe in...) Creo que... (I believe that...) Considero que... (I consider that...)

Creo en la igualdad. (I believe in equality.)

Personal View

Desde mi punto de vista... (From my point of view...) A mi modo de ver... (The way I see it...) Personalmente... (Personally...) Para mí... (For me...) Según yo... (According to me...)

Desde mi punto de vista, está mal. (From my point of view, it's wrong.)

Agreement

Estoy de acuerdo. (I agree.) Tienes razón. (You're right.) Eso es verdad. (That's true.) Exacto. (Exactly.) Así es. (That's right.) Comparto tu opinión. (I share your opinion.)

Disagreement

No estoy de acuerdo. (I don't agree.) No lo creo. (I don't think so.) No comparto esa opinión. (I don't share that opinion.) Eso no es cierto. (That's not true.) Me parece lo contrario. (I think the opposite.)

No estoy de acuerdo contigo. (I don't agree with you.)

Polite Disagreement

Con todo respeto... (With all due respect...) Entiendo tu punto, pero... (I understand your point, but...) Veo tu punto de vista, sin embargo... (I see your point of view, however...) Puede ser, pero... (It may be, but...)

Asking for Opinions

¿Qué opinas? (What do you think?) ¿Qué te parece? (What do you think?) ¿Cuál es tu opinión? (What's your opinion?) ¿Qué piensas sobre...? (What do you think about...?) ¿Estás de acuerdo? (Do you agree?)

Stating Facts vs Opinions

Opinion (with subjunctive): Creo que es importante. (I think it's important.) No creo que sea verdad. (I don't think it's true.)

Fact (with indicative): Es verdad que... (It's true that...) Es cierto que... (It's certain that...)

Expressing Certainty

Es cierto que... (It's certain that...) Es verdad que... (It's true that...) Está claro que... (It's clear that...) Es evidente que... (It's evident that...) No cabe duda de que... (There's no doubt that...)

Expressing Uncertainty

No estoy seguro/a. (I'm not sure.) Puede ser. (It may be.) Tal vez. (Maybe.) Quizás. (Perhaps.) Es posible que... (It's possible that...) Dudo que... (I doubt that...)

Making Arguments

Supporting Your Opinion

Rejecting Ideas

No tiene sentido. (It doesn't make sense.) Es ridículo. (It's ridiculous.) No es lógico. (It's not logical.) Es absurdo. (It's absurd.)

Changing Opinion

He cambiado de opinión. (I've changed my opinion.) Ahora pienso que... (Now I think that...) Antes pensaba..., pero ahora... (I used to think..., but now...)

Being Neutral

No tengo opinión. (I have no opinion.) No sé qué pensar. (I don't know what to think.) Me da igual. (I don't care./It's all the same to me.) No me importa. (It doesn't matter to me.)

Emphasizing

Lo que quiero decir es... (What I mean is...) El punto es que... (The point is that...) Lo importante es... (The important thing is...) Lo cierto es que... (The truth is that...)

Generalizing

Specifying

Comparing Opinions
