JUGAR (to play)

Used for sports with a ball or games

Pattern: JUGAR + A + sport (with article)

HACER (to do/make)

PRACTICAR (to practice)

Can be used for any sport or activity

For going to do an activity:

Voy a jugar fútbol. (I'm going to play soccer.)
