Coordinating Conjunctions

Connect equal elements:

y (and) María y Juan van al cine. (María and Juan go to the movies.)

o (or) ¿Café o té? (Coffee or tea?)

cuando (when) Cuando llegues, llámame. (When you arrive, call me.)

antes de que (before - triggers subjunctive) Termina antes de que llegue. (Finish before he arrives.)

porque (because) No voy porque estoy cansado. (I'm not going because I'm tired.)

Pero vs Sino
