Basic Quantifiers

mucho/a/os/as (much/many/a lot) poco/a/os/as (little/few) bastante/bastantes (quite a lot/enough) demasiado/a/os/as (too much/too many) todo/a/os/as (all)

Agreement: mucho dinero (much money - masculine singular) mucha gente (many people - feminine singular) muchos libros (many books - masculine plural) muchas personas (many people - feminine plural)

Mucho/Poco as Adverbs

When modifying verbs, they don't change:

Trabajo mucho. (I work a lot.) Duermo poco. (I sleep little.) Estudia bastante. (He studies quite a bit.)

Alguno/Ninguno (Some/None)

Alguno (some, any): Tengo algunos libros. (I have some books.) ¿Tienes alguna pregunta? (Do you have any questions?)

Ninguno (none, not any): No tengo ningún libro. (I don't have any books.) No hay ninguna razón. (There's no reason.)

Shortens before masculine singular nouns: algún libro (some book) ningún problema (no problem)

Varios/as (Several)

Tengo varios amigos aquí. (I have several friends here.) Hay varias opciones. (There are several options.)

Ambos/as (Both)

Ambos estudiantes aprobaron. (Both students passed.) Leí ambos libros. (I read both books.)

Cada (Each/Every)

Invariable - doesn't change: cada día (each day) cada persona (each person) cada vez (each time)

Todo/Toda/Todos/Todas (All/Every)

todo el día (all day) toda la noche (all night) todos los días (every day) todas las personas (all people)

With articles: Use todo + article + noun: todo el mundo (everyone - literally "all the world")

Otro/a/os/as (Other/Another)

Never use article with otro: Quiero otro café. (I want another coffee.) ❌ un otro Dame otra oportunidad. (Give me another chance.) Hay otros métodos. (There are other methods.)

Mismo/a/os/as (Same)

el mismo libro (the same book) la misma persona (the same person) los mismos problemas (the same problems)

Partitives

un poco de (a little bit of) un montón de (a bunch of) un par de (a couple of) la mayoría de (the majority of) la mitad de (half of)

Quiero un poco de agua. (I want a little water.) Tengo un montón de tarea. (I have a bunch of homework.)

Tan/Tanto (So/So much)

Tan + adjective/adverb: Es tan bonito. (It's so pretty.) Habla tan rápido. (He speaks so fast.)

Tanto/a/os/as + noun: Tengo tanto trabajo. (I have so much work.) Hay tanta gente. (There are so many people.) Tiene tantos amigos. (He has so many friends.)

Demasiado (Too much/many)

As adjective (agrees): demasiado ruido (too much noise) demasiada comida (too much food) demasiados errores (too many errors)

As adverb (invariable): Comes demasiado. (You eat too much.)

Suficiente/Bastante (Enough)

Tengo suficiente dinero. (I have enough money.) No hay bastante tiempo. (There isn't enough time.)

Más/Menos (More/Less)

más dinero (more money) menos personas (fewer people) más de 10 (more than 10) menos de 5 (fewer than 5)
