Irregular Verbs Overview for Beginners
Learn the most important irregular verbs in Spanish! While they don't follow regular patterns, many share similar irregularities that make them easier to memorize.
What Are Irregular Verbs?
Regular verbs follow predictable patterns:
- HABLAR → hablo, hablas, habla
Irregular verbs change their stems or have unique forms:
- SER → soy, eres, es (completely different!)
- TENER → tengo, tienes, tiene (irregular YO form)
- DORMIR → duermo, duermes, duerme (stem change)
