Asking for Directions

¿Dónde está...? (Where is...?) ¿Cómo llego a...? (How do I get to...?) ¿Está lejos? (Is it far?) ¿Está cerca? (Is it close?) ¿Me puede decir cómo llegar a...? (Can you tell me how to get to...?) Estoy perdido/a. (I'm lost.)

Giving Directions

Siga/Sigue todo recto. (Go straight ahead.) Doble/Gira a la derecha. (Turn right.) Doble/Gira a la izquierda. (Turn left.) Está al final de la calle. (It's at the end of the street.) Está en la esquina. (It's on the corner.) Cruce la calle. (Cross the street.) Tome la primera/segunda calle. (Take the first/second street.)

Location Prepositions

al lado de (next to) enfrente de (in front of, across from) detrás de (behind) cerca de (near) lejos de (far from) entre (between) a la derecha de (to the right of) a la izquierda de (to the left of)

El banco está al lado del supermercado. (The bank is next to the supermarket.)

Distance and Time

Está a cinco minutos a pie. (It's a five-minute walk.) Está a dos cuadras. (It's two blocks away.) Está muy cerca. (It's very close.) Está bastante lejos. (It's quite far.)

City Vocabulary
