Stating There's a Problem

Hay un problema. (There's a problem.) Tengo un problema. (I have a problem.) Tenemos un inconveniente. (We have an issue.) Algo anda mal. (Something's wrong.) Algo no funciona bien. (Something's not working right.)

Describing the Problem

El problema es que... (The problem is that...) La dificultad es... (The difficulty is...) Lo que pasa es que... (What's happening is that...) El inconveniente es... (The issue is...)

El problema es que no tengo tiempo. (The problem is that I don't have time.)

Things Not Working

No funciona. (It doesn't work.) Está roto. (It's broken.) Se descompuso. (It broke down.) No enciende. (It doesn't turn on.) No arranca. (It doesn't start.) No responde. (It's not responding.)

Severity

Es un problema grave. (It's a serious problem.) Es urgente. (It's urgent.) No es tan grave. (It's not that serious.) Es algo menor. (It's something minor.) No es nada serio. (It's nothing serious.)

Causes

El problema se debe a... (The problem is due to...) La causa es... (The cause is...) Se debe a que... (It's due to the fact that...) El motivo es... (The reason is...)

Technical Problems

Tengo problemas técnicos. (I have technical problems.) El sistema no funciona. (The system doesn't work.) Hay un error. (There's an error.) Se cayó el sistema. (The system crashed.) No tengo conexión. (I don't have connection.)

Proposing Solutions

La solución sería... (The solution would be...) Podríamos... (We could...) Una solución posible es... (One possible solution is...) Se podría... (One could...) Hay que... (One has to...)

La solución sería reiniciar el sistema. (The solution would be to restart the system.)

Offering Help

Asking for Solutions

Steps to Fix

Primero... (First...) Luego... (Then...) Después... (After...) Por último... (Lastly...)

Primero, apágalo. Luego, espera un minuto. Después, enciéndelo de nuevo. (First, turn it off. Then, wait a minute. After, turn it on again.)

Trying Solutions

Voy a intentar... (I'm going to try...) Déjame probar... (Let me try...) A ver si funciona. (Let's see if it works.) Probemos esto. (Let's try this.)

When Solution Works

Funcionó. (It worked.) Ya está. (That's it / It's done.) Problema resuelto. (Problem solved.) Listo. (Ready / Done.) Ya quedó. (It's fixed now.)

When Solution Doesn't Work

No funcionó. (It didn't work.) Sigue sin funcionar. (It still doesn't work.) El problema persiste. (The problem persists.) Todavía no. (Not yet.) Tenemos que intentar otra cosa. (We have to try something else.)

Asking for Professional Help

Necesito un técnico. (I need a technician.) Hay que llamar a un experto. (We have to call an expert.) No lo puedo arreglar yo solo. (I can't fix it by myself.) Necesitamos ayuda profesional. (We need professional help.)

Temporary vs Permanent

Es una solución temporal. (It's a temporary solution.) Es un arreglo permanente. (It's a permanent fix.) Por ahora funciona. (For now it works.) Esto debería arreglarlo definitivamente. (This should fix it definitely.)

Preventive Measures
